Audience

Academics, practitioners, policymakers and students.

Articles Types

Empirical research articles, systematic reviews and case studies

Frequency

Biannual (two issues per year). Publication of issues is scheduled around May and November each year, with occasional special issues where possible.

The NJMS experienced a publication hiatus from 2017 to 2019 and from 2023 to 2024 due to a lack of human resources (staffing) available to perform tasks, a lack of capacity, technical challenges and funding constraints. Additionally, scholars were not motivated to publish in the print journal as opposed to this time, where we have transformed to online publication. These constraints have been addressed, and regular publishing has resumed. There is a dedicated Editorial Board appointed to oversee the publishing process, and a dedicated budget has been allocated.
